Can you basically just sell any fake classic game you want

now? I see these oh-so-fake Ms Pac Man/Galaga, Namco classics combos and fake Ms. Pac cocktails on ebay and on coin-op dealer sites all over. I thought this was supposed to be illegal but it seems like there's tons of people slapping repro sideart on some generic cab and selling them for insane dealer prices.

While some of those are licensed, I definitely agree that some of them are pirates. I went to a gameroom store a few weeks ago and they had a fake Ms Pacman/Galaga. The cabinet was meant to look like a real arcade game, but the size was too small and the coin door was wallpapapered on as was the sideart. How much for this setup? $2500.00
