godsey1 #1 Posted May 13, 2004 Have a look at this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...8105291874&rd=1 . That's nice looking, but a little too high for me Tony
Albert #2 Posted May 13, 2004 That's an amusing hack, but the close-up pictures of the case look pretty bad, especially the top, front, and the side where the cartridges stick out of. He got this idea from Yoshi's Boxx, which is a much nicer implementation. ..Al
Mindfield #3 Posted May 13, 2004 Yeah, I remember those from last year. Cool idea, but I doubt I'd ever want to bother trying it. I already have that many machines and more in my box. They're called emulators. :-) I'd rather drag out the real, unmodified thing when I want to play anyway.
chadtower #4 Posted May 13, 2004 I'd like to try it with a bunch of older systems for the learning experience. Say, put an NES, SNES, and N64 in one box and an SMS, Genesis, Saturn and Dreamcast in another.
Bratwurst #5 Posted May 13, 2004 That's an amusing hack, but the close-up pictures of the case look pretty bad, especially the top, front, and the side where the cartridges stick out of. He got this idea from Agreed, this guy went about it in all the wrong ways. He basically just stuck all of the console guts in there and didn't bother to rewire the AV cables or anything! Just a big clunky signal catcher sitting on top. The workmanship is so bad it makes me want to smack someone.
Trooper #6 Posted May 13, 2004 I must say.....and it's not to be a bastard or anything but if you can't do it well don't bother. I mean the idea is cool and it's definetely possible to do the hack (as you can see on Yoshi's Boxx) but this guy couldn't pull it off. It really feels like he's just been bending and hammering on that poor box to get everything in there, that's why you measure and remeasure before trying to do this. If it doesn't fit when you measure it don't try to force it in there, think about and figure some way to make it fit without breaking everything. I wouldn't buy it and if any of you are thinking of it don't, buy the systems and try to do the hack yourselves in stead, much more fun and can hardly turn out worse than this! Just my 2 cents /Troop
maibock #7 Posted May 13, 2004 I've been thinking about making one, but using nothing but the consoles and some duct tape. Oh and maybe some fuzzy dice..
bjk7382 #8 Posted May 13, 2004 The only bad thing about those is you still have to own the games for them. I would rather make a unique mini-itx case for multi system emulation.
