+RangerG #1 Posted May 16, 2004 The last two weeks have been great for me find-wise. After I hit 200 2600 carts about a year ago, the finds in the wild have been very tough. My wofe and I have taken road trips recently and the past few weekends turned up 34! new "keeper" carts - I collect major label variations. I only keep carts with labels that pass my inspection, so these have been good finds. However, today I had a sad find . I saw the Zimag case and for a buck I bought it. I knew it wouldn't be a keeper, but I couldn't leave it. It turns out to be Cosmic Corridor. Great looking cart with label gone (fell off I assume). What do you do with these carts? It would really stink to find a rarity 8-10 with no label. Any stories? Take care and happy hunting, RG
Mindfield #2 Posted May 16, 2004 For my label-less (or end-label-less) carts, I usually keep 'em 'til I find one with a (better) label. I've been fortunate in having found most of my stuff with labels (condition notwithstanding). Those I've gotten sans label have all but one been replaced with better ones. My only missing label is US Games' Name This Game (handle cart) so I have to find a replacement for it. Missing labels bug me only slightly more than missing end labels -- I have a number of those. Fortunately I recently got replacements for three of them, so I'm quite happy.
atari_wizard #3 Posted May 16, 2004 i keep em till i find a better one too. i even keep em to play. when i do get a better looking label, i just put it away for keeps. keep playing the labeless cart. lol
+DamonicFury #4 Posted May 16, 2004 As it happens, my rarest cart (Bumper Bash - rarity 9) has no labels. Still a 9 with no label is better than no 9 at all!
