They're very nice.. but I wouldn't call it an "improvement". Just different styles like comparing a painting done by an impressionist vs a realist.

Ok fine then. But again I don't see how it's "better". They're such intentionally different graphical styles. One is cartoon and the other is realistic. It becomes the old apples vs. oranges.

 

That being said, I am super excited to play this when it comes out

I guess impressionist are artest becuase of the stories of the artest and behind the paintings. The paintings are buetiful but some of the stories are so heart wrenching you must buy someones suffering.

At first I thought when you came back to AA that you were more open minded or at least wanted to appear that way. I thought you finally realized that people have different tastes in games and can appreciate different systems and that you wouldn't go into threads you have no interest in just to say something negative about the subject. I even thought that maybe you realized that by constantly talking about the XBox and how it makes you cream turns people off to pretty much anything that you have to say in Modern Gaming.

MacGurl, I'm sorry you feel that way. I think I've done a good job since my return. My posts are written with a great deal of thought and care, and I make a concious effort to ensure that everyone is treated with a great deal of respect.

 

But I do beg to ask the question...how is it that some who post frequently in the Politics/Religion forum are not scrutinized as highly as me? Much filth and vile bitterness is often slogged between one another over in those forums. But yet I refrain from posting such nonsense and take it upon myself to ensure that civility and interesting topics involving gaming are added and responded to with regular frequency.

 

Surely I am not as bad as everyone is making me out to be?

Personally I love the look of cel shaded games. It's a pity there aren't more of them out there.

Politics and religion is a open form to disargee and with a little disrepect beacuse most of us who post there know how it is. Thomas i never hold anything against him and we had some pritty heated debates, chris, kepone all of them. Those are the rules there is no point making any other parts of the form that way becasue these are the places people come to agree and be friends. To be fair, there are others in this forum who enjoy posting anti-xbox comments. And there are those who are overly fanboy-istic with their statements of love for their DC and Nintendo systems. Should not the same standards apply to those individuals as well?

It's no different at all. There are 2 or 3 people in that forum as well that do the exact same thing, but definitely are much less respectful about it. That is an EVIL Forum!

 

I don't think you're bad or disrespectful. Maybe it's just me, but this is how I see it. You've probably noticed that while Modern Gaming used to be consumed with Nintendo Fanboys, there's quite a few more people here now that are into XBox than Nintendo. So I can understand why back then, you defended the XBox as you did, because so many people were bashing it...however now, it's down to just a few that have no life and continue to be pricks about it. Now, with any subject, if I see that a person is completely one sided (as you will see quite often in the Politics forum) I tend to just discredit pretty much everything they say because it doesn't seem that they look at things objectively. I don't necessarily think that you are this way, because I actually think quite highly of you, which is surprising even to me. You're a smart guy, I can tell that. You try to respect others, I can see that as well. I think sometimes though maybe you don't realize that you go a little overboard with your enthusiasm. And maybe it doesn't bother anyone else, but I gather from some of the posts in other threads, that some others have noticed it as well. I don't want to discourage you from having your own opinion or talking about what you want, cause that's what we're here to do. Bottom line, I think you have a lot to contribute to this site and I really am glad you're back, I just think some people might listen a little closer to what you have to say if you didn't "appear" quite so one sided.

 

Maybe it just seems over the top to me, because I'm not as into gaming as alot of others are. I have other hobbies that I always turn to first before getting engrosed in a game, so to me it seems like some of you are crazy, while to the rest of you, it may make perfect sense. I just picture you jumping up and down when you type sometimes

to be fair they don't make 4 posts a day about how great those systems or games are. They may high jack your threads but thats what a fan boy dose, if you make several threads a day about how great the x-box is and high jack others threads about non x-box subjects, than you got over kill. I'm with Jasaco, Celda will be missed, even if this new Zelda is very beautiful. But didn't they say for sure that the sequel to WindWaker will use the same style and will be on Gamecube? No one said this is the sequel to Wind Waker.

ehhh sequel schmeequel. It's the NEXT, NEW Zelda. That's all that counts. It's like debating whether the DS is the next GB.. Who cares? It's their new handheld. All that classificiation is just junk from the marketing department to feed the dorky consumers who feed off their hand.

 

Fuck timelines, fuck official whether it's an 'official' sequel of some version, fuck if it's 2d, 3d or sidescroller, fuck the graphic style they use.

 

It's just a new Zelda game on Gamecube. That's pretty much the bottom line Just my humble opinion of course

The graphics in Celda did not bother me, it made the game unique.

But what it really comes down to is gameplay and Wind Waker was a great game, period.

 

I don't think Adrian does anything wrong, he loves the Xbox. Most people here probably have a favorite system, right now mine is the Xbox also. Fanboys don't bother me, trolls do and he is not a troll.
