Shannon #26 Posted May 20, 2004 OK... put me down for 88850. I don't think I will ever even come close to bjk7382...
bjk7382 #27 Posted May 20, 2004 This game is all about memorization. I am getting to the point where I usually don't lose a live until around 100k, and that is because I usually know what is on the next screen just from doing it so many times. After you beat level 20 you go back to level 14 or so and then keep playing the hardest levels over and over. This score, I was on the second level 20, which I usually get to with only one or two guys. Of course I am not done yet, but it is getting harder for me to get more points. Yeah I think I've managed to get up to lvl 17/18. I've got it memorized up to 15. It's alot harder to get extra lives in the higher levels because you have less time on the timer by the end of the level. Im up in the 90,000nds. I'll post scores later. I'm hoping to beat that. bjk7382 #31 Posted May 21, 2004 Well I think I just got screwed out of a million. I was playing it for about an hour and I got it to 1,000,000 and as soon as it was supposed to max out or roll over the game ended and the score dissappeared, the screenshot below is what came up (and that is not in attract mode) I have no reason to lie about it since I was in first anyway, but hopefully Todd Rogers can confirm this because he is the only million record holder on this game in twin galaxies (although he did submit the score back in 1986, so I doubt he would remember what the last screen looked like) I am real pissed off, I was even going to take a picture at 800k, but thought, no I will wait until the end, which was a bad idea. Ouch... Well I just determined that it is unlikely I'll get past the higher levels. I think it's level 16 or 17. But there are a couple moving wall combo's (which I can usually avoid), but they have glowing walls above them on the preceeding screen. So I always end up running into something. Ah well. I'll put the highest score I can manage to tweak before the week ends.
bjk7382 #33 Posted May 21, 2004 Ouch... Yeah, I earned a million, but I can't prove it I will probly do it again at some point in time and videotape it, but now that I can do all the levels without dying it got kind of boring, and repetitive. Hopefully goochman will put me down for a mil, but it's okay if he doesn't belive me

advfan #35 Posted May 21, 2004 It's a great game, but I did have a very busy week to really get into it. (another shameless excuse to hide the fact that I did suck at this game)Can we play Berzerk again?

Shannon #37 Posted May 21, 2004 Ok here is my submission. Just in case I do not manage any better (unlikely) before the contest ends. 107430.
bjk7382 #38 Posted May 21, 2004 Ok here is my submission. I see you died on the sets of moving walls on level 16 That is one of the hardest parts of the game for me also. As soon as you are on the screen with the moving walls push up just long enough to stop your guy for a split-second and then drop thru. The walls are in the same positions every time you go on the screen with them. I usually die on those by hitting left or right when I don't want to. Thanks for the tip, but that is not what is killing me. It's trying to avoid the glowing walls on the screen above the moving walls that gets me every time. In addition to that fast moving zig-zaggy creature thingy two screens up.
Shannon #40 Posted May 22, 2004 Well if it isn't too late, my final score is 112745. I really had to rush this on in on the last hour. Probably woulda got a little higher but time is short.

bjk7382 #43 Posted January 15, 2005 I am practicing for that one. I get to about 200k before dying, but it is always a stupid mistake that gets me.
