Anybody have some Channel F advice?

Well, I just won a Channel F (cheap!) on E-bay.... but.... it seems to be DOA. I hooked it up, turned TV to channel 3, and I just get a blank green screen - and white noise from the TV speaker.

 

Is there anything I'm missing, as far as set-up goes? If not, any way I might fix it?

The model 1 channel F sound comes from the system, so that's why there's white noise on the TV.

 

As for the green screen, it's been awhile since I hooked mine up but that sounds normal. Is there a letter in the center? Try pressing one of the number keys on the system to play the built in pong.

Well, No letter on the screen... and I can't get a game to play when I press the buttons... Just a green screen, and sometimes I get nonsense pixels randomly on the screen - this can't be good!

 

I also tried a couple carts... I think I'd better contact the seller.

Did you try cleaning the connectors on the system and cartridges? A lot of earlier console systems did odd stuff like this when the contacts were dirty.

No cart...Tennis and Hockey are built-in. So if you don't get a G?, it sounds like it's messed up.
