chairmonkey4406 #1 Posted May 20, 2004 Well, I signed up for a free 10 hour per month dial up internet acces account at Juno. Now what I am wondering is how do I connect to that with my dreamcast? There are no access numbers or anything on the Juno site. I am a complete idiot on this subject. Any help would be appreciated.
ussexplorer #2 Posted May 20, 2004 You cannot. Unless somebody figured out a hack. Juno requires it own software for mac or windows. later, ussexplorer
JB #3 Posted May 20, 2004 You cannot. Unless somebody figured out a hack. Juno requires it own software for mac or windows. later, ussexplorer Let me look around. There's something you can do to get the real username/password to feed to the Dreamcast. It's not like AOL, where the whole dang comm protocol is proprietary. http://www.consolevision.com/members/fackue/juno.shtml There we go. That should work. I know you can get the # list from the software(it MAKES you select a #, as I recall from my use of it).
chairmonkey4406 #4 Posted May 20, 2004 Thanks for the site JB, but when I put in the user logins and passwords they give me, I still get a no dial tone on modem message when I try to connect. What am I doing wrong?
JB #5 Posted May 21, 2004 Thanks for the site JB, but when I put in the user logins and passwords they give me, I still get a no dial tone on modem message when I try to connect. What am I doing wrong? *thinks* OH! My version of the browser(2.6 something, if I recall)browser appends a 1 to the # by default. You need to tell it to supress the 1. Took me a while to figure that one out.
chairmonkey4406 #6 Posted May 21, 2004 That might have worked...and I will try it. But I think I figured it out. My phone system is really weird so I think it is not letting the dreamcast dial out. Because I used the dreamcast on a different phone port that isnt connected to our phone system, and it worked.
