Playing Supercharger system question!

Recommended Posts

I know that to play any supercharger game, you need a tape recorder also, but what I wanted to know is that could I use any of the Atari corporation tape recorders used for the Atari computers ?. I see these Atari computer tape recorders for sale on ebay all the time and if I can use one of them, I would rather do that then buy a regular tape recorder.

:ponder: :?

far as I know, as long as it plays tapes and has a head phone jack you are good to go.

The tape drives for the Atari Computers will NOT work with the supercharger. It uses an sio cable and not regular audio. Also it doesn't start turning the tape until it gets the signal from the computer.

All you need to play the supercharger tapes is any tape player with a headphone jack. Or you can hook it up to your computer and play the audio files of the roms thru your sound card. :)

I've put up a few Supercharger tips on these two pages:

Just being lazy and don't feeling like retyping or even copying them :P To sum them up, though, you can use a walkman or portable stereo, and sometimes you have to mess with the volume control to get a game to load. No real biggie though.
