GBA: Boktai

Hi there!

 

I'm curious. Boktai is getting raving reviews everywhere (as in "Cross between Castlevania and Golden Sun") and I'm really curious now wether the game is really *that* good, or if it's just getting those reviews for being so geekishly gimmicky...

It is a good game. Not that great but still worth a look. I didn't really like the limitation with regard to the UV sensor so I hacked the cart to install a pot in place of the UV sensor. The quickest way is to cut a reace leading to pin 2 of the chip TLV272 (dual op amp) and instal a pot with the wiper on pin 2, one side of the pot to +V, and other side of the pot to ground. You must leave pin 3 intact because the GBA does a self test on power up and if the outout is not what it expoects, the game will not run. ("Broken sun sensor")
