Man is this a stinker of a conversion! I never played this before today and it will be my last!

 

29 is my score - The plan followed my back to base, dropped it bomb and then flew into me causing a crash - I had 13 people waiting to unload.

 

Why does this version stink:

 

1. Unloading 1 person at a time...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

2. Home base is supposed to be protected but here the planes fly right after you

3. Twice a plane showed up and immediatly dropped a bomb on me causing a crash - The original had the plane swoop in

4. Are those 2600 battlezone tanks I see at the bottom? Bigger is better must've been the motto on this version since the satellite looks like a giant squid!

5. A mans house is his castle I guess since everyone in this version lives in a castle

 

So much was lost in this translation IMHO.

I rescued 63 on my second try.

 

Then the game reset itself before I could get my camera ready

to take a picture.

 

There's always that 1 person that gets whacked by a tank's shot.

Tried the game. Only got about 26 folks rescued before I got wasted in the air by a bomber.

 

No picture for this one though. Not yet, anyway.

I agree

 

It is hard to get a good picture on this game, but not impossible. You have to pause it just before the last guy goes in the building. Get your camera all set up and then unpause it and get as many pictures in as possible. Look at the picture as it is saving to see if you got the score because it is blinking.

 

64 would be very, very impressive, and nice to see a picture of also.

Here is a tip, and how I got 64:

 

When you see a tank approaching and people be running about, get the heck up and fly away from the tank. Get kinda far from it (like 3 seconds of flying time) and when you go back to the running fools, it will not be there. Then you get like 6-8 seconds of peace.

After many failed attempts (usually because of a tank killing one person) I finally rescued all 64!

Ok, im not listed for the 7800 Hsc on the basis i only have 20 games. But ive gotten the magic 64.

 

Actually i dont mind this conversion, Of course it would be better with the later levels like the SMS one
