Atari 7800 price?

I have someone offering me a ATARI 7800 system with 22 games, 2 7800 joysticks, 1 2600 joystick, and 1 AC adaptor. I don't know the games or condition, though he says it's pretty good. The asking price is $50. Is that reasonable?

And you're asking in the 2600 forum? Oh well, I guess there are a lot of people here that will know it. Personally I'm clueless. Over here in The Netherlands, 7800's tend to sell for a lot less than 2600 machines.

Good point about asking in the wrong place. Duh. I'm a 2600 person, so it never even occurred to me to go next door to the 7800 forum. My bad.

It all depends on the games that are given away with it. As for the 7800 system, I think it`s worth the same as a 2600.

I think $50 for that set up isn't too bad. I agree that it comes down to what games come with it, and maybe if they include boxes or manuals. If it's just a bunch of butt-common 2600 carts that are going to be duplicates for you, that deal becomes a little less appealing. As a starter set-up for someone with no games at all it's a nice package though.

 

Finding one with a working power supply is a plus though, as the PS alone often commands a price somewhere around the $20 mark.

If those are all 7800 games and not 2600 games it sounds like a good deal to me. I paid $50 for mine with 14 7800 games and a few 2600 games, it was all boxed and like new though.

If those are 22 7800 games, it is def. worth it. $3 a game is reasonable for 7800 common games.
