WTB: Japanese XBOX controller (gray colored casing)

I know it's a bit of a long shot especially on this messageboard, but whatever.

 

What I'm after is a Japanese XBOX CONTROLLER. True XBOX fans will know that the XBOX launched in Japan with the Controller S-styled pads and they were originally sold in two colors: Black casing and Gray casing.

 

What I'm after is the GRAY colored model. If anyone has one or can point me in the direction of a dealer that still has them in stock, please let me know. I know I can import these from Japan, but I'd like to check my domestic options FIRST.

Krylon or Rustoleum will work just as well.

 

Well a little sandpaper and a controller helps too. Not to mention you can make it orange if you wanted too. Pretty durable too if you do it right.

 

Good luck finding one though.

Part of why I want one of these controllers is the fact that the Japanese packaging is so different (they package them in the PS2 controller style blisterpack). Painting a standard Controller S would only get me part way there!

If I can get my hands on a gray pad, I would not use it. I already have one of the black-with-green jewel models that Microsoft sold over here in the States as a "limited edition"...I simply lack the gray casing version.

 

Here's a pic. Buy-rite games apparently has them, but I am very wary about buying anything from them, given their reputation:

I happen to feel the same way about the PS and GC controllers!

They may look like crap but they are the best controller on the market. It fits great in my hand and the placement of the analog sticks is perfect.

Ill stick to my first suggestion. Krylon.

 

I have to admit, the completly gray controller is ugly. Id rather have a two tone controller. But to each his own. I have to say though, its looks like a car in primer.
