Delta for 2600

Recommended Posts

Has anyone every attempted to port Delta from the C64 to the 2600?

I know that Thomas is good at doing ports from looking at his work on Thrust+.

Is anyone up to it?

Delta is a great game, but I don't think you can make a good 2600 conversion. There are far too many sprites on the screen, so the result would probably become a horrible flicker festival.

Actually, "Horrible Flicker Festival" sounds like a cool name for a game. :D

Oh......

Well, it was a thought.

I was just trying to think of good games that aren't on the 2600 that have music by Rob Hubbard....

Hey Thomas, did you see my post on using the ball sprite to smooth out the diagonals on tempest?

What if you used the venetian blinds technique? The enemy sprites could be part of the background graphics.
