Yet Another "Name This Game" (Old PC Game)

Recommended Posts

Alright, I'm not sure how I was reminded of this game, but it was an old game that I rented once and played for a while... for some reason, I don't think I ever copied it (which is odd, because we used to rent, play, and copy games all the time... even when they weren't very good). Anyways, I'm hoping someone can refresh my memory as to the name of the game:

It was an old PC game... time frame is probably around '93 or so (give or take a few years... the game had fairly unimpressive graphics, so it was likely even a year or so old by then). It ran fine on a 386, and I'm fairly certain that it was a VGA game (although there might have been an EGA option... the game wasn't very colorful).

The game itself had you boarding space ships that had been overrun by aliens... you'd walk through the halls using a first-person perspective that would lock at 90 degree angles like Dungeon Master or Skeleton+. I honestly can't remember if the main idea was to kill all the aliens or not... I seem to recall that there were alternative things to do, and you'd just kill the aliens when they got in your way. There were definitely things that you could interact with in the game, like switches, doors and computers, and items that you'd find on the floor. As for the aliens themselves, they were all very small. In fact, you probably would have thought that they were cute and harmless if the game hadn't specifically told you otherwise. There were different types of aliens, although they all looked fairly similar with different colors. Once you were done with the ship that you were on, you'd go on to another, larger ship and do the same.

I keep thinking that the name of the game was "Star Ship ______" or "Space Ship _____", with the name of one of the space ships in there... but I may be wrong. I can't seem to find any games with similar names that fit my memory. I was thinking it was "Space Ship Warlock", but after seeing some screen shots, it's definitely not it.

It might be worth mentioning that the first-person view was in a small window... NOT full-screen. I think it also showed a graphical inventory view next to it.
