glitch #4 Posted June 2, 2004 A Japanese NeoGeo Pocket will play US games. The carts are the same for both of them. Likewise a US NeoGeo will play import carts w/ no problems (other than reading them )
EricDeLee #5 Posted June 2, 2004 Anyone know if the pacman on this system follows the arcade's patterns?
Classic Pac #6 Posted June 2, 2004 I only played it on an emulator, and yes it's the same Pacman

The Eidolon #8 Posted June 2, 2004 If you are close to California, Fry's was selling Neo Geo Pocket Color systems new for $69.99 with 6 games packed in. They were Pac-Man, Samurai Showdown 2, Some golf game,a couple other fighters and a Japanese only game (!) that I haven't checked out yet. I don't know if it's a good deal price-wise, but they are new and Pac-Man was included. I suspect they were overstock from Japan rebranded and sold in the US. Nowhere on the packaging does it mention SNK or Neo Geo. I think they are trying to market it as a stand-alone unit and called it "pocket arcade" or something. They had a website at www.eplayplay.com mentioned on the package. Looks like you could buy them on-line there for $40 (new?) --The Eidolon
Lastblade #9 Posted June 4, 2004 I just dug out my NGPC to play for my business trip. Some of the games are still very very good. Here are my recommended games: Match of the Millenium (SNK vs Capcom) Card Fighters (Either version is fine, one is SNK, other is Capcom) Metal Slug 1 and 2 Samurai Shodown 2 Faselei Neo Cup (Soccer) Magical Drop Crush Roller (classic!) Pac-Man (see Crush Roller) Sonic King of Fighters R2 And many more!
DeV0 #10 Posted June 4, 2004 Match of the Millenium (SNK vs Capcom) Imho is the pest hand held fighter that exists. Neo geo pocket colour is pretty good stuff, I recomend the screen magnifer/light combo
JagWarlord #11 Posted June 4, 2004 The Last Blade is also a very fun game for the system. Right up there with MoTM.
