BigFairy321 #1 Posted June 4, 2004 i just bought this item of ebay ( its not games related but still PC related ) a friend went against my advice becasue they REALLY wanted it and asked to use my ebay for the one item even though i was strictly against it, i gave in (zero feedbak seller) http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...me=STRK:MEWN:IT now after winnig the bid this is the email i get : Dear Buyer Thank you for your mail, you are very lucky you got the item for that price, I started with $1 and forgot to put a reserve price, so it really didnt get to where I wanted it to go, but I have to honour the bid, so its your good luck. Item comes with a 12 months Warranty, delivery 7 to 14 days after payment recived, the reason its 7 to 14 days is I have to order them in from my supplier, so just to let you know thay are on their way and I will let you know once you pay when you can expect the item. Please also supply me with your full shipping address etc. Please inform me when you have made payment, thanks again. Peter Does this mean the seller doesnt have the item he is selling? Is this legal by ebay? I mean i could sell fake stuff on ebay that i dont have, wih a reserve, and then IF i get a sale, rush and purchse the item and send it to buyer...... NOW by ebay policies is this allowed? Any help would be ok.
povlok1 #2 Posted June 5, 2004 totally leagal,, I imagine 20% of the computer stuff is sold this way (new stuff). Very common for items with a hi depriciation value.. such as computer stuff including pc games
povlok1 #3 Posted June 5, 2004 also, being he has 0 feedback, I would pull his contact info and call him to make sure he is legit (or at least confirm his contact info if you need to hunt him down if he rips you off)
BigFairy321 #4 Posted June 5, 2004 cool, i was getting worried. Ive got his banking details, what worrries me is that he may have to ship from dodgy places overseas "at the right price" at least its only $96 and not more that is being risked
povlok1 #5 Posted June 5, 2004 its called 'drop shipping' , common practice
Susuwatari #6 Posted June 5, 2004 That's pretty much how drop shipper works. They are the middleman between a company and the buyer. If everything goes through, I'd say you got a bargain.
BigFairy321 #7 Posted June 5, 2004 hopefully everything will go smoothly... what worries me is the recent membership and zero feedbak. It looks like the seller knows what he/she's doing, so why the zero feedbak? they dont look like theyare new to ebay....

That quote he said dose not seem very professional, Maybe after thinking about it he decided to just get a new screen name and start all over since he has no feedback anyway. I hope you get it but I have a bad feeling about him...
BigFairy321 #11 Posted June 22, 2004 after emailing the seller a few times this is what i get: Dear Benno I am so sorry I have have not responded to you quicker, I have been bed ridden with the damm flu. Your Item will be sent to you next week, my supplier had unforeseen production problems and could not send my items, I have to order 500 at a time, and they were clean out by a U.S. buyer. Peter I am willing to compensate you for your patience, I can either refund you your money, and you can pay when the item arrives, or if you are willing to be a little patient I will give you an extra item, pleasae let me know what you would like me to do, so sorry again. Hopefully i will have my money refunded...

BigFairy321 #15 Posted July 13, 2004 still nothing im going to take action by the end of this week if sellers doesnt refund money
itsralph #16 Posted July 13, 2004 Sad to say that looks like you have been royally hosed. The seller said he had to "order 500 at a time" so it doesn't sound like a standard drop-shipment arrangement, and is now NARU'd. I would not wait any longer to start taking some action.
