Stingray #2 Posted June 9, 2004 Man, that's just sick. How does a computer get that filthy? -S
Whisper #3 Posted June 9, 2004 Probably stood in that box on the portch for a year before the owner decided to part with it and put it in ebay.
itsralph #4 Posted June 9, 2004 I once bought a working monitor that looked like that at a yard sale for $1, and when I got it home and plugged it in hundreds of roaches started crawling out of it. It cost me $10 for 2 cans of roach spray plus three hefty bags to seal it up in before I took it to the dump.
MegaManFan #5 Posted June 9, 2004 You'd have to pay me to haul that thing away, cause there's no way I'd even attempt to touch it or clean it up. Ugh!
Trooper #6 Posted June 9, 2004 Well had I been able to I'd buy it in a flash, mainly because it's next to impossible to find an Apple II where I live. /Troop
Stingray #7 Posted June 9, 2004 Well had I been able to I'd buy it in a flash' date=' mainly because it's next to impossible to find an Apple II where I live. /Troop[/quote'] I've got a bunch of them myself. A few years ago the school where I worked was going to toss a bunch of them out. I dragged as many home as I thought my wife would let me get away with. Wish I'd taken more monitors, but it's too much trouble to store very many of them. -S
Trooper #8 Posted June 9, 2004 I've had one on my wishlist for years but they're not abundant in Sweden so I guess I'm out of luck. On the other hand I had never seen an Atari 800 other than on pictures until I was given the one I have now /Troop
Mindfield #9 Posted June 10, 2004 Hmm. Pic doesn't load. Think he axed it, figuring it was making people physically ill? :-)

Breakpack #11 Posted June 10, 2004 Geez,if they didn't feel compelled to clean it before snapping the pic,at least they could have Photoshopped the dirt out....
atari_wizard #12 Posted June 10, 2004 maybe he didn't want to spend the 10 dollars on roach spray and 2 bucks for bags either. lol
Mindfield #13 Posted June 10, 2004 YECCH! I see the pic now. I deeply regret it. I mean, damn ... I'd be ashamed to put that up for sale with anything even remotely resembling a serious description. It looks like a relic some construction building unearthed while they were digging the foundation for a new shopping mall -- I half expected to see archaeologists brushing away at the surface...
