Halo for GBA

Recommended Posts

LOL, that's pretty damn funny. I can't even envision how that'll turn out, assuming it's not just some 2D platform game.

I'd like to see it's prequel, Marathon, on the GBA. That would totally kick ass. Especially with a few GBAs networked. *drool*.....

Great idea... lets port a huge and complicated game to a small system that can't possibly handle it!

I wouldn't get your hopes up about it. Even if this does happen, it'll either be an underpowered FPS (ala Serious Sam) or a mediocre platformer.

I like the crack about the Pippen and ColecoVision though.

I'm not really familiar with Marathon, except that it's a fairly old game. Doom was ported to the GBA and it looks good and plays well. Hell, it even has music and the Jaguar version didn't even have that! Not sure how much Marathon differs from Doom in terms of the complexity of the engine or the game, but other fairly simple FPS games should be possible on the GBA.

The Bandai Pippin version is taking up all our development bandwidth…

I'm really, really hoping someone's wires got crossed and they're actually developing it for the DS. I think we've seen the best FPS games we're going to get out of the GBA.... notice no one has even been lame/brave enough to try to release Quake.

If it is a GBA game, I'd bet money that it'll be a 2D platformer like every other license-exploitation title ever released for the GBA.
