question about activision carts

Recommended Posts

I was just sorting out my carts (72 so far), and I notice something, in Activision carts, some of them has a AZ-#, others AX-# and the third ones AG-#, why the different category? (I guess it is a category)

Same thing with Atari 400/800 carts, they changed from CXL to RX sometime in 1981. I have no idea why.

the CXL to RX makes more sense tempest cause not only did teh pre fix change the numbers changed from 4000 to 8000 series i saw the CXL-4020 to RX-8020 change was to symbolized the computer series the cart was made for (either 400 unit or 800 unit) that makes the most sense to me . but why with activision i dont know
