A question about Skate boardin from Absolute.

I just received a copy of Skate Boardin, (Mint in the box and sealed), which has a sticker on it saying distributed exclusively by Activision, but was made by a company called Absolute Entertainment. What I want to know is if this company made any other games for the Atari 2600 system, if so what were they, and why did Activision have distribution rights?.

Since Absolute came into things so late, my theory is that Absolute was either a child company of Activision, or at least was in business with there so that Activision didn't have to bother programming Atari games, but was able to distribute ones that were already made (by Absolute). This would also help Absolute, since they wouldn't have to worry about making all the distribution deals, and Activision would provide them with all their dealers automatically.

 

Does anyone know at what point Activision exited the Atari market and Absolute entered? Considering how long Activision stayed in for games like Kung-Fu Master and Double Dragon, I'm not so sure that Absolute came after them...
