32x hissing

Is it normal for the Sega 32x to have a slight hissing sound when turned on? I have it hooked up to a Genesis 2 and CD 2.

If I recall correctly, mine made a slight hissing/buzzing sound as well.

The original GameBoy system does the same thing....put your ear up to it when it's paused and you'll hear a faint hissing/buzzing sound.

Thanks Adrian! With all my problems lately I didn't want it to be another failed power supply or something worse.

 

And yeah, I noticed that too about Game Boy. The speaker buzzes slightly..most audible when you have the volume down all the way. Both of mine do it.
