U.S. Games -> "For left controler" ...yeah righ

Recommended Posts

Why do US Games Towering Inferno and Commando Raid both use the RIGHT controller????

Or is it just that the Sears Heavy 6er is weird or something.

Wizard of wor and Tac-scan are the same way. It is just how they are programmed for some reason.

I noticed that on Wizard of wor I don't own Tac-scan, but they say on them,

"Use with Left Joystic Controller"

Wizard of wor says "Use Right Controller for one-player games."

odd

Here's the list I got, correct me if I'm missing something.

Games where Player one uses the right joystick:

Wizard of Wor

Towering Inferno

Games where Player one uses both joysticks:

Defender II / Stargate

Spy Hunter

Raiders of the Lost Ark

Games where Player one uses paddles plugged into the right port

Tac Scan (hey, AA still needs an online manual for this one)

Now don't get me started on C64 games, I swear 1/2 use one joystick and 1/2 the other.

Having programmed the C= 64, I know the reason why. It was easier to read port B. If I remember correctly, you had to disable the keyboard in order to read port A.
