liveinabin #4 Posted June 25, 2004 Sorry, is this downloadable, or do you actually have to buy the game again?

PuddWakkr #6 Posted June 25, 2004 Hardly. It's just a patch. If they loved you, they'd have got all that right in the first place. How much time have you spent playing Ninja Gaiden for the Xbox? I'm guessing not very long because this is an incredible game that doesn't need any patching to be enjoyed. I think this is a great move by Tecmo and more developers should do this in the future. All they are doing is giving you more game for your money.

All they are doing is giving you more game for your money. Time spent playing Ninja Gaiden = zero. I haven't got an XBox. However, upgraded content is hardly a new thing, it happens all the time with PC games, whether it be from the developers or modders. Fixing a camera is not an upgrade. I'm not anti-XBox, I just don't see it as that big a deal, it's just making the XBox seem like even more of a glorified PC. And if other developers don't already do that, then you're damn right they should be.
Brad2600 #9 Posted June 25, 2004 Not to be offensive, but why are there so many bug reports regarding XBOX games in magazines like GamePro and so forth? I mean, how often do you hear about bugs in PS2 or Gamecube games?
Adrian M #10 Posted June 25, 2004 Not to be offensive, but why are there so many bug reports regarding XBOX games in magazines like GamePro and so forth? I mean, how often do you hear about bugs in PS2 or Gamecube games? This thread was created to bring light to the exciting news regarding essentially what will be new gameplay elements to Ninja Gaiden...a title that is already deserving of classic status. Where the topic turned to the subject of bugs is beyond me. That and the fact that you read GAMEPRO makes me very uneasy... But anyway, there are plenty of issues with games on other systems....need I mention the many "flawed" production runs early on in the Dreamcast's life? Some titles like MK Gold and Hydro THunder (For starters) had issues and to be re-issued with a "Hot New!" sticker affixed to the "corrected" versions! And what was the deal with Sonic Adventure??? Even with the alleged "corrections" made in the US release, that has to be the BUGGIEST and shoddiest game Sonic Team has ever created. The sad thing is, the GC re-release contains a good deal of these problems too! And then there's the GC and it's freezing issues on Rogue Leader and Wave Race! Launch day consoles and early pressings of RL and WR (Luigi's Mansion in some instances too!!) froze constantly. Somehow that was swept under the rug by Nintendo fanatics, perhaps? I could gladly go on, but you get the point!

Clock #12 Posted June 25, 2004 Let's just straighten this thread out.... Ninja Gaiden is virtually flawless and damned near perfect. There is absolutely no bugs or issues. Some (not all) found the camera control a little awkward - most found it easy. Tecmo obviously wanted to give experienced NG gamers something more of a challenge and keep the game fresh. If Rockstar offered PS2 owners new cars and gangs and missions and weapons etc in GTA VC, would everyone accuse that game of being shoddy in any way. I don't think so If Nintendo offered new characters and locations in Smash Brothers Melee would everyone accuse them of not finishing the game. The answer is obviously NO. Stop bashing consoles and support all that is good in the gaming world. So let's reflect... Ninja Gaiden is a great game and Tecmo is about to keep the game fresh for longer by giving free upgrades. That is a very good thing

CodeMonkey666 #14 Posted June 26, 2004 Yeah, well said Clock. Only thing I don't like about this is I don't yet have access to a broadband connection so I cannot get XBOX Live. I will have a broadband/ethernet connection starting this September back in the college dorms, that will last until the end of May 2005, so I guess I could get Live for awhile then if I can afford it and use the trial version for awhile. That way, I could at least download some extra content for my Crimson Skies and Ninja Gaiden game copies, plus play with other players. Hey, one question on XBOX Live....What happens when your hard drive runs out of space??? Do you have to give up the stuff you've downloaded in order to get more game data (cuz some of us liek to keep our games, extra levels included); or can you transfer the downloaded XBOX Live game data from your XBOX to a PC?? You won't run out of HD space - 8 gig is massive for a standard Xbox even with a Live account. The only way to fill the HD is by putting every peice of music you can find on it and that would be a lot of albums (1000's). Really nothing to worry about. CodeMonkey666 #16 Posted June 28, 2004 Oh HA! I should've checked that number, and here I was worring about running out of space for my XBOX game saves. I guess by the time most people's systems are about to run out of space, the next XBOX will be out or whatever. And too many game saves just requires a memory card to transfer the data I guess.
