Adrian M #1 Posted June 25, 2004 This has been a most prosperous and lucky month for me so far! Walked into FYE this evening after work to peruse the XBOX offerings, and as I brushed past the PS1 section, I noticed the telltale DC case design strewn about the unwanted PS1 games. I stopped, looked a little closer and saw only QB Club 2001 and Space Channel 5. "Meh" I said as I tossed those two titles aside. But, as I dug deeper into the rack I noticed brand new copies of PSO1, PSO2 and Sonic 2! Better still....the price for each game...$2.99! Make no mistake, these are not used games....they have the telltale factory shrinkwrapping. Upon digging a bit deeper, I came across a few other Meh titles, but also a white VMU and a new in box Sega standard controller. $1.99 each as well!! Yes, I'm aware that eBay may have such items in plentiful supply, but be happy for me as I rarely find such bargains in the wild (and especially at a mainstream store!). Despite my hatred for the DC, I fired up PSO1 briefly (after playing the included Sonic2 demo disk) and had some fun. NOt bad I guess...still can't stand the ultra-noisey optical drive, but hey, what can you do? Anyway, good fortune is upon me! Adore me!!

Adrian M #3 Posted June 25, 2004 Who really cares? Not I says the blind man. Where's the fun in "finding" anything for the Xbox? Who cares? Well, after reading the 12th "my latest weekend find" thread over in the 2600 forum, I figured my entry would make for interesting reading....particularly since it involved finding games for my most hated console, the DC!! Don't you see the irony in that? As for the XBOX, I enjoy "finding" the 'low production run' titles for the XBOX....games like Nightcaster II, Metal Dungeon, Metal Slug 3, and that new F1 racing title from Codemasters! There's fun to be found if you just look!

Don't you see the irony in that? If it's your most hated console, why did you bother picking them up? You could have left them for someone who actually likes the DC. I think deep down, you have a latent sexual attraction to Sega

I think deep down, you have a latent sexual attraction to Sega To be honest, I actually enjoyed playing PSO1! But then, I also rank SHenmue 1 as one of my TOP 5 games of all time. Yes, I detest Sega and the DC, but I will force myself to play the system now and again.
Brian R. #6 Posted June 25, 2004 It's just too bad someone who would've really wanted and greatly appreciated a DC find like that didn't come across it first. I was happy when I snagged a new copy of Sonic 2 for $9.99. And I've got Demolition Racer and Test Drive Le Mans brand new off eBay for about $7 and $6.50 total, respectively. candiru #7 Posted June 25, 2004 Yes, I detest Sega and the DC, but I will force myself to play the system now and again. Just curious, do you have a few drinks, turn the lights down low and put a bag over the DC before you play?

Just curious, do you have a few drinks, turn the lights down low and put a bag over the DC before you play? Hehe! At least you have a sense of humor when it comes to these things! Seriously though, playing the DC last night wasn't too bad. Perhaps I'll drag out a few more of my remaining games and play them for the sake of nostalgia. Avid Fan #9 Posted June 26, 2004 the first and only time I ever played a dreamcast was after about a case of beer and a few screwdrivers. I played for five minutes and spent 30 minuted puking in the bathroom. To this day I'm afraid of the dreamcast
moycon #10 Posted June 26, 2004 For years he's done nothing but venomously slam the DC...everything about it (accept Shenmue) He's even bitched about the name fer christ sakes. Now he admits that the system isnt that bad. Now folks, tell me this person isn't a multiple personality case. Get help Adrian M.
Mendon #11 Posted June 26, 2004 And I've got Demolition Racer and Test Drive Le Mans brand new off eBay for about $7 and $6.50 total, respectively. Did you get a good shipping price, Brian? Reason I ask is because I saw 3 new DC games on eBay recently that I wanted to add to my collection. All were from the same seller and all had about a $5 BIN each but the shipping was $5.95 for the first title and $2.95 each additional title. I figured almost $12 shipping was a little high for 3 games that could easily fit inside a priority shipping box for $3.85, so I passed on them. Demolition Racer cost $3.99, and shipping was $3. Very fair. The price of Test Drive Le Mans was $1.49, and shipping was $4.95. So the totals for both games were IMO very reaonable. But you're right, insane and unfair shipping costs can kill the deal.
moycon #14 Posted June 27, 2004 But then, weren't you slamming the XBOX 2 years ago HAHAHAHAHA Nope Sure wasn't.... Feel free to provide proof of this Adrian M... Perhaps my mind isnt as sharp as yours. Unless you consider my mentioning that there wern't currently enough MUST have games to warrent a purchase a slam?? Adrian M ....King of the facts, folks. bergbros2 #15 Posted June 28, 2004 This will be my first and last post on this poster: For someone who presents himself as a Dreamcast hater, you have a strange way of showing it. Why brag about all the good deals you got for the Dreamcast when you so thoroughly despise it? You hated it so much that you bought three games, a VMU and a joystick. Boy, I can really feel all the hate. And I remember when you slammed people for buying the Dreamcast by saying they have a collector's mentality. Hmm, someone's actions and posts seem to contradict each other. Yeh, and I saw one of the previous posts where you said that. You sound like a jilted lover with these posts. You had the misfortune to buy a Dreamcast when they first came out and you feel burned when they discontinued it. Yeh, it sucks to support a system that goes under. However, to constantly knock the system and its adherents seem pathological especially in light of this latest post. It is anti-fanboydom which is worse than fan-boydom because it is unrelentingly negative. I think you don't want to admit that you like the system or at least some aspects of the system. You just get a rise out of people paying attention to you responding to these posts. For the last time, you succeeded with me. BTW, you got a good deal. I hope you like playing the games.
