Adrian M #1 Posted June 25, 2004 According to this website: http://dynamic5.gamespy.com/~japangaming/f...topic.php?t=246 G-Rev states that each Sega developer (Hitmaker, Overworks, etc.) will shut down their website, and join under the Sega domain. Hitmaker seems to be the first taking the hit (no pun intended), and will be gone as of 7/1. Anything game related will be viewable at Sega of Japan's domain, but some of the other "bonus" areas of their website like Sanpe and Zol Man will become one with the ether. No news on the other sites, but I can't imagine what's going to happen to Sonic Team and AM2's sites, as they're very large... especially ST's. Yet one more nail in the coffin I'd say. Don't flame me! This is news after all!

JohnnyBlaze #4 Posted June 25, 2004 What really sucks is that AM2 is going to be integrated into Sega as well
Adrian M #5 Posted June 25, 2004 Yeah, I'm a big fan of AM2's works. They are the ones who brought us the godly Sega Rally and VF series.
liveinabin #6 Posted June 25, 2004 Not a problem. After all, employees of these subdivisions change all the time anyway. The AM2 who produced VF aren't the same as now. Might as well have them under one big company. Heck, that's how Sega (and everyone else) used to do it. I think I'll wait for the games before I voice concern. Atarinvader #7 Posted June 28, 2004 Agreed The head of Sammy said that althought there is a massive amount of talent at Sega, it's spread too thinly, which seems to make sense. I think it's great news that all the departments have been shaken-up and merged. Imagine Yu Suzuki and Yuji Naka heading up a single project! Also, Sammy have bought up the remaining shares in Sega now, which is the bigger news I think.
liveinabin #8 Posted June 28, 2004 Excellent. So they're a solid, cohesive whole. Doesn't sound like any kind of weakness to me, quite the reverse in fact.
