Notice the close up of the board: The names of some chips have been

written over with a felt tip pen or something... Someone didn't want someone to know what chips they used...

 

The top plate is probably not original. It is some sort of Plexiglas which is

not in very good shape too. I think I will have some black glass cut for a replacement. A repro of the original instructions would be nice..Suggestions?

I'm convinced. I have probably 50 pacman bootleg boards and none of them have a socket for the security chip at 5s. Some bootlegs do have a socket at 6p but they use a daughterboard in place of the security chip. And if that's not enough it looks like masked roms instead of eproms. Bootlegs always have eproms.

 

It's interesting they didn't snap it into 2 pieces, I would have thought the cocktail would be 2 piece for space. It pretty much is identical to the midway board except the ribbon cables are traces on the midway version.

 

I wonder if they started the serial numbers at 100,000? machine 482. Very nice find!
