Does River Patrol PAL exist?

I was just wondering, given the fact that the NTSC version of River Patrol is so rare, because it was released close to the crash, did Tigervision ever care to release a PAL verion of this game?

AFAIK no.

They didn't do a PAL Espial either did they?

I think a PAL cartridge version of Espial exists. At least the ROM image that is floating around the net is clearly a PAL version.

nearly got a PAL espial in a big trade, it should exist .. i also bought the box of it in australia, another PAL-country

 

and i think river patrol was at least advertised

Aha, so it looks like it may have only been released in Australia. It was definately not released in the UK (neither was Miner Vol2 which is quite odd since it made it to mainland Europe) and I don't recall ever coming across any in Europe or on Ebay.

 

Thats another fun aspect of this hobby - you learn something new every day :-)
