Plink-Plonk-Ploink
I'm sure this kind of topic has popped up before but what the hell. I've bought my 2600 today together with 24 games (2 double ones....) so I have a grand total of 22 games. I don't know about their rarity so any comments would be appreciated but here we go: Pacman Ms. Pacman Jr. Pacman Desert Falcon Centipede Pole Position (2x) Dig Dug Jungle hunt Radar lock Commbet Space invaders Midnight Magic (2x) Bump 'n Jump Realsports Soccer Realsports Football MoonPatrol Road Runner Zaxxon Exocet Dragster Crossbow Galaxian I've also noticed some of the games have red labels, while others have silver ones.... what's the difference? Is there a difference? Also some have weird labels with only text on them (Bump 'n jump, Zaxxon and Dragster to be exact). Go ahead and post 'em And also post your recommendations (which are the most FUN)

Jrock1977
Plink-Plonk-Ploink... I'd say you'll end up logging a lot of time with Dig Dug and Moon Patrol. I still remember buying them for 9.99 each at kaybee toys in 1987 (I got into atari late). As for other recommendations, I have always been a big fan of "mountain king". Plink-Plonk-Ploink
Haven't been able to play alot on my 2600 (see my other topic) but I must say I enjoyed ms. pacman a lot. Played commbet for a little bit vs my younger brother but it didn't seem that fun, and watched him play radar lock for a few minutes which looked pretty cool. About the labels? Do they mean anything? Mindfield
I don't think I'd care to post a gigantic message containing all of my games, but suffice it to say I'm 15 unique titles away from reaching the 300 mark, and in total (including label and status (loose/complete) variations, but not dupes) I am sitting at 377. Including dupes I'd probably be sitting on about 460 or so.

Brad2600
I have about 300 unique games now. I might have to go through my list just to confirm this. Plink-Plonk-Ploink
How many 2600 games are there exactly? Seen alot of lists with hundreds of games and all of them have a lot which don't show up in others And I looked though the rarity list (found out I have 2 rare+ games !!!) it looked like 1000+ or maybe even 2000 games ?? Spirantho
Here's my Cart Commander list (attached) - you can read it in a spreadhseet proggie if you like, too, it's standard CSV. I decided not to copy and paste it as it's a bit long for that - 705 different carts, including major variations (i.e. PAL/NTSC, silver/red/text/picture labels etc. etc.). ian_gledhill_atari_2600_media.zip

Ah, the age-old question. Good luck getting an answer. There were so many games released in so many niche markets or as promotional gimmicks, not to mention international pirate cartridges, that there's probably no one on Earth who has an accurate count. The generally-accepted number of legitimate, commercially-released NTSC games available in the U.S. is somewhere around 700.

MattG/Snyper2099
509 2600 titles for me. Once you get over 450, you should just list the ones you don't have. I think I'm down to needing 22 NTSC titles now. Too bad most of them cost over $300.

I'm not really a collector, we just bought some and were given some, it was always about playing the games. I don't care about having some huge collection, especially since I've had a chance to play most games using an emulator. Many of the games I don't have suck as much as the games I already have, so I don't have to keep searching for the next great game that might be out there. I know now that it doesn't exist. I am slightly pissed off because I used to have games like Midnight Magic, Tutankham, and Marauder, but I stupidly traded them for other games I wanted to play. I had no idea that I would be able to try just about every Atari 2600 game ever made using an emulator 16 years later. I also have a Supercharger and 5 or 6 of the games like Escape From the Mindmaster, Dragonstomper, Fireball, Suicide Mission, but that's all I can remember. They are packed up in a box in my closet. +Nathan Strum
Here's my list, freshly updated. Games listed as "new" are ones I bought when they were originally released. I keep my list in a spreadsheet, with some other info not shown - type of controller used, personal high scores, etc. At some point I want to add pics, but that will have to wait.
