CodeMonkey666 #1 Posted June 28, 2004 Okay, this is just a minor rant, but I feel like it Anyways, WHY in Ninja Gaiden, a game with great, tremendous graphical beauty, did they have to go and make the sky look like it's straight out of a PS1 game. Like, when I first entered Hayabusa village at the beginning of the game, you see the great graphics, then you look at the night sky, and you're like "WTF!?!!!??? That's the sky!?!?" I'm guessing maybe the XBOX's graphical capability limited what they could've done to the sky, since so much of it is used in the surface visuals; I hope so anyways, cuz I hate that lammo excuse for a sky with all the super-realistic graphics. Ratchet & Clank have much more realistic-looking skies then that.

CodeMonkey666 #3 Posted June 28, 2004 Oh no, I wasn't implying that at all lol. NG would fry the PS2 (not meaning to sound like an XBOX fanboy, but it would)
VidGameKing #4 Posted June 28, 2004 it's all just a matter or beef. and the XBOX has the specs to push it the most! It's sad really, that the other developers were stuck in such a rut as to not make their other games as stunning as the NG. It's a clear example of how the XBOX's specs can truely push the games to the limit! Sorry PS2, your a very very very nice system, got the games, but in a spec war XBOX wins. Clock #5 Posted June 28, 2004 I can't say I ever noticed the sky in NG
YOK-dfa #6 Posted June 28, 2004 Sorry PS2, your a very very very nice system, got the games, but in a spec war XBOX wins. Why do most people only focus on the specs? They are not important. Example: Both the Colecovision and the Intellivision beat the Atari 2600 hands-down if you compare the specs, but the Atari 2600 was the clear winner overall. Why? Because they had the most players and the most games...

Specs and accessories get me excited. for example: I bought Final Fantasy XI, I hate the game I bought it for the Hard Drive. I understand that games are a very important aspect of video gaming. But for me, my turn-ons are: Smart asian women, and hardware.

Eh, the Linux hard drive can't be used by OTHER PS2 applications. Stupid poopy-head Sony.
VidGameKing #9 Posted June 28, 2004 I did by the linux kit too!
Jasoco #10 Posted June 29, 2004 So, what does this sky look like?
JB #11 Posted June 29, 2004 I did by the linux kit too! I stand corrected. ... But did you buy the Net Yaroze? *grumbles about Sony shooting itself in the foot with internal schisms*
VidGameKing #12 Posted June 29, 2004 But did you buy the Net Yaroze? I still have it! although it's going to go off-line in a year or two.
JB #13 Posted June 29, 2004 But did you buy the Net Yaroze? I still have it! although it's going to go off-line in a year or two. Awesome. Shame about how that was handled. It really does look, from what I know, like Sony was busy fighting with themselves over whether or not they should even acknowledge that it was POSSIBLE to program games. And based on their behavior ever since then, the anti-Yaroze faction won.
VidGameKing #14 Posted June 29, 2004 yeah, it's sort of stupid how they handeld it... But it was sort of fun while it lasted.
