Adrian M #1 Posted June 29, 2004 Does anyone remember this wonderful little 2D side scroller that found its way to the Mac (via Logicware, I believe) and possibly the PC? I think it came out around 1997 or 1998 if I recall correctly and featured some excellent backgrounds, animation and play control vaguely reminsicent of Sonic 2 on the Sega Genesis. Did this game make it's way to any game consoles? Has anyone here played or heard of it for that matter?
sniperCCJVQ #2 Posted June 29, 2004 Best PC platform game ever.
Mr.FoodMonster #3 Posted June 29, 2004 While you are on my block list, this topic is important. I was a fan of the original JJ back in the day (I'd say '95 ish). I only had the demo, but that was more then enough for me. I remember waiting and waiting for the second one to come out, and I even remember the day I bought it at the Best Buy that has sense, changed location. Also, I had it on PC, I didn't even know it was out for the mac. One of the best platformers ever, great baddies, weapons, and just the overall design of the thing was great. Also, I don't think it ever made it to the consoles. Although, there is one... marginal game that came out for GBA, but its nothing like the other two. SteveW #5 Posted June 30, 2004 I downloaded the demo for it, but I ended up falling through the floor for no reason a couple of times, so I didn't buy it. Just a little too buggy.
ussexplorer #6 Posted June 30, 2004 I played jazz jack rabbit demo and the holiday demo. It was cool. Even had it on a novell network. Good game for a class of computer students in a middle school who was good. I did purchase jazz jack rabbit 2 one day and it included the original jazz jack rabbit. The original ran in DOS and the rabbit 2 ran in windows. Jazz 2 runs mutiple player games on the internet. Funny, I didn't know they had a mac verson. It was a mix between sonic and super mario. Mostly sonic. Great music too. Also helped sell alot of computer systems from 386 and up. Thank You Jazz Jack Rabbit. laters, ussexplorer
Jasoco #7 Posted July 3, 2004 I had this on my PC years ago. When I switched to the Mac, I couldn't play it anymore. I remember it used to be so freaking fun. I wish they'd port the two games to a console. I know there's a GBA Jazz game, but I'd rather it be on the Cube or Box. As for the Ignore thing, everyone please grow up. Avid Fan #8 Posted July 5, 2004 I played the rom of Jazz a while back for GBA, it doesn't hold a candle to the original at all. Ya, I played the rom, so I didnt get suckered for 30 bucks
vb_master #9 Posted July 5, 2004 Yeah, I remember this back in my Windows 95 days. I think I got it off some classics compilation disc. I remember some sort of 3D racing part to it, though.
