Do you think Activision still gets mail/photos for Patches?

Recommended Posts

I just played Keystone Kapers for the 1st time in 20 years and scored 35,850 and sure enough I earned my "The Billy Club" patch. And just like I did back in the day, I took a pix of the screen (WHY? I have no idea).

Anyway, I was wondering if Activision still gets mail/photos for Patches? If the addresses are still good.

Activision, Inc. Drawer No. 7287

I doubt any of the old addresses are any good (I know they are not in Mountain View, for instance!), but it would be very amusing to actually send them a photo of a high score along with a letter asking for the associated patch. I'd love to see how they respond, if at all. :)

This is Activision's current address:

Activision, Incorporated

3100 Ocean Park Boulevard

Santa Monica, California 90405

This is down by Los Angeles, they are not anywhere near Silicon Valley now, which is where Mountain View (where I lived for over a year) and Santa Clara are located..

Just for kicks once, I tried 2 Atari phone numbers and 1 Parker Bros and to no big surprise, I got the messages saying the phone numbers no longer work, I was drinking a 6 pack at the time all right!!

:dunce:  :woozy:

Maybe I'll just email my screen pix to em  :P  :D  8)

No, I really think someone should mail them a letter, with a photograph taken of a screen, just like people would have had to do "back in the day". Anyone can send Activision an email, but it takes more effort to write a letter so I think you'll get a more response that way. :)

I seem to remember reading somewhere saying that they DO still receive screenshots fairly often, and to please not send them anymore as there are no patches left. I was going to send in a picture myself until I read that.

Back around 1991 or so I did real good on Lazer blast or soemthing, took the picture, sent it to Activision, and Activision wrote me back. In essence they said that they no longer offer the patches. I was dissapointed, but knew that most likely they wouldnt horor it anyway (since SuperNintendo was out & all)

With Anthology out on many platforms, why aren't they making more?

If somebody patches every game on their edition of Anthology, they could at least send out one for that . . .

I think on the PS2, they lowered the score to earn a patch. On the PC and GBA they are the correct scores to patch.
