Hang-On in MAME

I've tried to play Hang-On in MAME, but it doesn't show the track, just a blue screen with the riders and obstacles. Is this a bug in MAME or the game itself?

That was a problem in early builds of Mame, do you have a current version? .84 plays it fine.

oh, and it's not a bug in Mame. It just takes the project a little while to correctly emulate the several thousand arcade roms out there.
