PuddWakkr #26 Posted July 12, 2004 I'll also be taking a few days vacation after Halo 2's release. I don't really care which version I get cause it's the same game in both versions. I'm amazed that so many others are planning to take off work as well, I thought just me and my friends were the only ones crazy enough to take off work for a game Any predictions on how many will sell in the first week? To be honest, I've never taken a day off work for a video game (we...back in 1991 I did take a sick day from school when me and my friends all bought the Genesis version of STRIDER...our parents even allowed it!!!)....but Halo 2 is a completely different story! Might as well burn those extra vacation days!
ubersaurus #28 Posted July 12, 2004 Well, I'll still be going to school, obviously...but work? How can I work when there's people to get destroyed on Live? Watch out...the Evolution of Halo, the dominant faction of downriver michigan, WILL be running things on Halo 2.
Goodwill Hunter #29 Posted July 13, 2004 Preordered the limited edition version from eCost.com for $33.99 last week (it's up to $52.00 right now)...may have to wait a few days after the launch date for delivery....but I waited over a year for the first one, so a few days is nothin'. eldunko #30 Posted July 13, 2004 I want to get the limited edition just to put on display in my room. All my freinds have their Diablo 2 and Warcraft 3 limited edition boxes on display and whenever I walk into my room I always feel something missing....something limited. Serblander #32 Posted August 2, 2004 I just placed my order for the Limited Edition a few days ago at Electronics Boutique. From reading the above posts, it seems that EB in Australia is providing a special offer. When you place an advanced order for Halo 2, you AUTOMATICALLY get the Limited Edition at NO extra cost! Is this also the case in any other countries Btw, my friends and i will also be taking the next day off work in order to immerse ourselves in the frenzied fragfest! The best thing about it is that at my place i have a set-up consisting of 2 XBOX's hooked up to 2 large screen TV's via a 10ft cable (solely for Halo) - on the day (or night ) of the release, we will also have 2 Limited Edition copies of Halo 2, in order to establish, from the very begining, just who will rule, the multiplayer world(s)! Jasoco #33 Posted August 2, 2004 Well, in the US, at GS at least, it's $5 more to get the Special version. So it's a total of $55. What is the price of it in Australia and how does that convert to US$?
NE146 #34 Posted August 2, 2004 I have already played Halo 2.... a lot It's just ok But then again I'm not a big FPS type of guy.
Godzilla #35 Posted August 2, 2004 I pre-ordered the limited edition a while ago. They told me it was coming with something that enticed me to preorder the LE over the regular edition but I don't remember what it was.

What is the price of it in Australia and how does that convert to US$? In (EB) Australia, pretty much all the new XBOX/PS2 games retail at AU $100 (US $70.25). I just called-up EB now, and the salesperson told me that BOTH will be the same price before launch, and if you pre-order, you automatically get the LE, but if you don't place a pre-order, there WON'T be the LE sold later on! I don't know if that is true or not, because if most people don't know about this and miss out on the LE just because they didn't pre-order, there's going to be a LOT of pissed-off people down here! (but at least i'll have mine! )
