I was playing this game using an old stratefy from gamepro magazine and i came to a point where i am stuck. I have already gotten the form of mist and soul of wolf and now i need soul of bat. In the magazine it said the soul of bat is in the library but i have been everywhere you can go in the library(without being a bat) and havn't found it. Can someone please help me? I would like to finish this excellent game.

Haven't found the soul of bat yet eh.. You still got a long way to go!

 

You know the save point in the library? Well if you look closely you'd see that there is another exit from it on the left! So just go straight through there to a new area. You should find it easily then.

How do you go to the other castles? I killed Richter Belmont and it acted like I beat the game. Is there more to it than this?

MUCH more.

 

First you need to get the gold and silver rings.

Then you go to the clock room with them equipped. You fall into a secret chamber with Maria in it, and she gives you holy goggles.

 

Kill Richter for a new ending, or equip the goggles and kill the green sphere for access to the inverse castle.

 

Killing Dracula will also give yon one of 2 endings, depending on exposed map %.

 

...

 

And then there's the fifth ending...

It's no longer the target, though. There's enough other glitches found that you can drive it well past 300%.

Yep listen to what JB says. Basically to get to the next castle you are NOT supposed to Kill Richter. You have to kill the spirit that's controlling him, and to see it you need the Goggles.

 

Once you kill it, the whole second HALF of the game will open up to you.
