The sniper fought the proxy and the proxy won!

It is nice to know that once in a while that someone who puts in a proxy bid actually gets what they want. I put my bid in early, and hoped for the best. A sniper sniped, but failed to defeat my proxy. Scored an 8 and actually got a few commons that I didn't already have to boot. Not a bad price either, but certainly not as good as a $24 deathtrap though.

Sure proxies win. The rule on Ebay has always been #1. CASH IS KING.

 

Put a proxy of 1 grand on most any cart and I guarantee you'll win it almost 100% of the time no matter when you bid

 

..'Course whether this is realistic to do or whether anyone is crazy enough to do it is another story... but it just illustrates the point

I guess the only reason I posted this is that in 95% of the auctions I bid on, I've been defeated by snipers.

The only snipers I hate are the ones that are faster than me.

 

Then again I don't believe in software snipers. That's just cheating.

I'm a hybrid sniper. If there isn't already a bid, I'll put in a proxy not quite as high as I'm willing to go. If I get out bid, then I'll go into snipe mode.
