Spitfire Attack? Is there a goal in this game?

Hello,

 

I picked up a copy of Spitfire Attack today. Is there any sort of goal in this game? Or is it just a survive as long as you can sort of game? There is no manual posted on AA, so I am hoping somebady can fill me in.

 

BTW, I really like the river effect on the ground. I think it is very well done.

Nope. It's basically shoot to kill and survive as long as you can. Nice little game, but can get a little tedious after a while.

 

BTW, this game plays great with a trak ball.

Does a Spitfire Attack instruction book actually exist? The Spitfire Attack game was included with the elaborate Milton Bradley Flight Commander controller? I would be very interested in seeing a scan of the cover of the Spitfire Attack instruction book.

Yep, I have the complete boxed CC and FC sets and they both have manuals.

 

Don't ask me to take a picture of them though, they are on top of a shelf and there is a bunch of crap piled on top of them.

It's a good little game. All you have to do is try and stay alive as long as you possibly can.

However if the idea is to liberate Europe with your Spitfire well... the enemy wins everytime, it's just a case of when.

 

Would love to see a hack of this game with a proper end of level score and maybe each level although been much the same as the other having cosmetic differences such as green grass for level one, orange for desert level two, blue for the sea level three and a bit faster each time, something like that.

 

I love this game, but it could be greatly improved.

I started a whole thread about setting a new high score for it in this forum. I enjoy this game because it's simple and challenging.
