Acrylic Display Case for an Atari Cart?

I have one cart I'd like to display either on my desk at work or on the wall. I'm looking for an acrylic type case that would work.

 

Has anyone else done this or any ideas

I know of some 'bug holders' (the kind the museums hold bugs in) that you can probally get from a craft store or a lab supply store which would hold any type of atary game. They usually have a fome insert inside and are rather sleak looking outside.

I've had the idea of designing / building display cases for carts, but just have not had the time to get around to actually doing it.

 

I don't think it would be that difficult to do, but I've never worked with acrylic so I could be totally wrong.

Why not try a shadow box with the instructions and an old joystick....the shadow boxes come fairly cheap at your local hobby stores like hobby lobby or michaels!

I've been looking for a clear case to hold sealed cart boxes for quite a while. Any one seen something that might work

Maybe try looking in the picture frame section? You can find frames that are basically just clear plastic boxes. They come in different sizes and are about 1" deep.

I have looked at a few big craft stores for some sort of clear display case, but the closest thing I have seen that would hold a boxed 2600 game perfectly is a shadow box, but no clear cases.

Take a High quality scan and wrap it around a cradboard box/diffrent empty cart of the correct color, size, and shape... don't bring in the real one if anyone notices...

I picked up these display boxes up at a collectors show' date=' they have acrylic window and are very well made using a black textured material for covering over thin wood. They come in a longer version that hold two boxes very nicely ( Miner 2049er 1 & 2 ). The game cart is also in the same type of box. I bought 10 and got them for like 3.00 ea.
