Tsukasa #1 Posted July 21, 2004 Does anyone have a list of all the NES games that have a red-blue 3d mode?
Adrian M #2 Posted July 21, 2004 The only 3D (red/blue glasses mode enabled) games released in the US were: *Rad Racer *3D WorldRunner (Square's first NES game for you Final Fantasy nerds) *Orb3D Keep in mind that the Famicom system in Japan had a 3D glasses accessory similar to the one made for the Sega Master System, so there may have been some true 3D games released over there. Is it a pretty convincing 3D techniques? Seems to be a lot better than the Virtual Boy... I've wondered the same thing. The Pioneer LaserActive (released in 1993) did have a set of 3D glasses released for it though I think they were for the Japanese market as well. I vaguely remember hearing something about the import 3DO having 3D glasses as well...can anyone confirm?
Tsukasa #5 Posted July 21, 2004 How do you enable 3d mode in orb 3d? I couldn't figure it out..... The other two are both by square, select enables and disables 3d mode.
Susuwatari #6 Posted July 21, 2004 Orb 3D doesn't use red/blue glasses. I have one that came with Orb 3D and it has clear lens on left eye and dark lens on the right eye.

nester #8 Posted July 21, 2004 The Nintendo 3d was really dissapointing. However, I do have the complete collection! My Sega Master System glasses are kinda broken, but one time I got it to work like it was supposed to, and it was amazing! I couldn't believe that they were able to get such a good 3d effect. Zaxxon was coming right for me. Sorry, I'm rambling about SMS again!

The SMS glasses worked like a charm (anyone remember that commercial that showed the kid shooting missiles that were floating out of the TV towards him?) and my vote for best SMS 3D game was Missile Defense 3D. The ice cavern stage in particular. Look at how those ice pillars actually protrude from the TV and then check out how you can see waaay down into the crevace of the ice floor. Maze Hunter 3D was a good game as well simply due to the multiple levels of 3D depth the glasses could provide.
Godzilla #10 Posted July 22, 2004 jim power for the snes came with clear 3d glassess that work awesome off of movement, brightness to darkness and parrallax layers. though there has to be movement. if the screen is still the effect is still there but is VERY subtle. that being said its great for any FPS that has good real time lighting/shading like jaguar alien vs predator. as long as you are moving, the jim power 3d glasses really give a great 3d effect. Tsukasa #11 Posted July 22, 2004 I've been looking for a pair of sms 3d glasses cuz if I like 3d, but the only way to get it through emulation w/o shutterglasses is with Dega's red/blue 3d mode.

They require the card slot to work. Emulation will not help you here...
Tsukasa #13 Posted July 22, 2004 No, MEKA has support for a serial port adaptor that you plug the glasses into and can play the games in 3d with.
Susuwatari #14 Posted July 23, 2004 They do? I need to download a newer version of MEKA, my version didn't mention 3D support. Just one question, does the emulator with 3D glasses work on LCD monitor?

LCD pixels take time to re-orient, and uou'll see "ghost" images of the prior frame going to the current eye. I imagine you'd get an effect similar to a ghosted TV channel. Only in 3D. Tsukasa #16 Posted July 23, 2004 They do? I'd imagine by now there would be windows support.

I know Zaxxon has an option for that.
Tsukasa #18 Posted July 23, 2004 Nope, I don't think so, but I didn't know zaxxon had the option, you can play it in 2d in meka by only looking at one side. But that takes all of the fun out of it.

Godzilla #20 Posted July 23, 2004 I have a pair of the japanese nes 3d glasses (cib,). They have a modified adaptor on them and they work with my fm towns marty (which also had some 3d shutter games for it, like afterburner iirc)
