Nokia N-Gage QD special offer problem

Recommended Posts

When I was thinking about buying the new N-Gage QD when it comes out at the end of the month, I saw an offer at GameStop. If you buy an N-Gage QD, you get three free games (except for Sonic N and Red Faction) and one accessory (headset, car charger cable, AC adapter). Now that there's only a few days until the QD comes out, they seem to have pulled that offer. A salesdrone at GameStop told me that it was only for the original N-Gage model, but I definitely remember reading a sign on their display stating that it was good for the QD model, and would still be in effect when the delayed QD finally came out. According to www.gamestop.com, they have an offer now for a free Tony Hawk game if you pre-order the unit (which means there's only about four days to pre-order it in). I have absolutely no interest whatsoever in a skateboarding game, so I won't be taking them up on their new offer. This really sucks. I was planning to get three games and an AC adapter, but if I now have to pay for them, screw it. I might not buy the N-Gage QD now.

The problem is that they're offering an N-Gage, which nobody wants (and really, who could blame them?).

be patient, the time will soon be at hand! with the psp and DS just around the corner its only a matter of time, the question is when and how much to pay. i waited too long to grab the NGPC games and then they got recalled to japan, i did however make out pretty good on the game.com demise. i gotta feeling all the n-gage gear will just vanish instead of hitting the clearence racks though, not that theres a lot of it anyways.

hate on it if you must but i tells ya its not half bad and certainly collectible in the obscure haveitall sense. i could be quite happy playing one these things if the price goes low enough, of course i wont be doing any sidetalking.
