JL #2 Posted October 3, 2001 Look's kind of interesting, too bad it's unfinished. Alex, that for digging this one up. Best, JL
Tempest #3 Posted October 3, 2001 I saw it this weekend at Sean's house. It looks odd. My guess is that you had to jump on balloons (or whatever those things on the sides of the screen are) or squoosh them with the masher thing in the middle of the screen. Anyone know who the programmer was? Tempest
rolenta #4 Posted October 3, 2001 They're not balloons. They're grapes! I think the premise was that you're stomping grapes to make wine.
Tempest #5 Posted October 3, 2001 Ok, I can see that. Know anything else about the game? Tempest
Alex #6 Posted October 3, 2001 Ah, thanks Leonard. And thanks go to Marco K for making this one available for everyone.
Marco(2) #7 Posted October 3, 2001 You're welcome It took me a while to make these ROM dumps, but I finally managed to do so. Hope everyone will enjoy these ROMs (though there's not much playing fun to Squoosh). There will be some more, so keep your eye on AtariAge! Cheers, Marco
Tempest #8 Posted October 3, 2001 If that's John Earney Squoosh you beat me too it by a few weeks. Oh well, it doesn't look that interestng anyway (I like protos you can at least play). Tempest

Tempest #10 Posted October 4, 2001 Marco, between you and Marc you guys kill me in the 2600 prototype department. I just talk about mine more I guess. I'm more a 5200 prototype person. Tempest
Marco(2) #11 Posted October 5, 2001 Matt, I was just kidding. You know far more about (your) prototypes that I do, so I think you deserve the crown you're wearing Cheers, Marco
Tempest #12 Posted October 5, 2001 2600 prototypes are nice, but they generally don't have the depth that Atari 5200 prototypes do. 75% of the 5200 prototypes are complete games waiting for release. I think more than half the 2600 prototypes are major WIP and are pretty lously playwise. Speaking of 2600 prototypes, I finally got around to playing Sinistar and Xevious. They're really good games on the 2600, I was pretty impressed. Xevious was definetly a big surprise, I guess I owe Tod Frye an apology. Tempest
videotwit #13 Posted October 5, 2001 Xevious is the one big unreleased title that I wish would have made it into production. I really love that game, and could play the arcade version for hours. Now if I had the 2600 version I could play at home... (And no, I don't have any other consoles besides my VCS).
Tempest #14 Posted October 5, 2001 I just got my hands on a 5200 prototype version of Xevious and it's not too shabby. It just feels a bit off compared to the 7800 version which rocks! Actually between Xevious and Food Fight I don't think I play much else on the 7800. Tempest
