Paying tribute to NES PAL carts

PAL... not like a pal as a friend but the conversion PAL

 

These carts where seleased in EUROPE-GERMANY-SPAIN-HONG KONG just to name a few.... But why pay tribute to some carts that are exactly the same to their american counterpart?? Ahh yes for starters the black box lable art was raised to a new level (dont get me wrong I love the US black box lable art too!!) and also the odd reasons for changing the color of the cart shell.

 

If you dont have allready its allways nice to have an SMB or a DH PAL in your collection!!

 

What do you think about PAL Black Box Carts/Art?? Or if you have PAL and are venturing into US cunterparts tell me why you like the PAL over the US.

That different SMB art brings up a point I've thought about for a long time. You know how Nintendo rereleased Metroid with a different, more modern label? I kind of wish the same has been done with SMB, I love the original label, but it does look a little out of place when in a line with SMB2 & SMB3. Plus it would be a cool variation. Don't get me wrong though, you don't get more nostalgic than blocky Mario label, and I'd still probably prefer the original .
