GBA Ice Climber question

Anyone here have Ice Climber from the classic NES series?

 

I'm curious wether this can be linked for 2 player games and if so, do you need 1 or 2 cartridges for the full experience?

 

Anyone knowing this?

Pretty sure you can. With one cartridge too. Though they haven't announced it yet, I hear all the NES Classics with a 2 player mode are also compatible with the wireless link that's coming with the Pokemon remakes.

That'd be nice. I know the Japanese ones are. I have the Japanese SMB and the instructions have the wireless adapter in the diagram along with the GBA cable.
