Cousin Vinnie #1 Posted August 1, 2004 If you live near an EB, (Electronic's Boutique) they are giving away free Dreamcasts with a purchase of 3 Dreamcast games of $4.99 and more. I was skeptical at first, b/c I figured most games were 15-20 bucks still, but I left with a new DC and 5 games (Sega Bass Fishing, Shenmue, Crazy Taxi, Space Channel 5, and Toy Commander) for 27 bucks. Pretty sweet! Check it out, peeps. Cousin Vinnie
Trip_Cannon #2 Posted August 1, 2004 New or used? What about the games?
SS #3 Posted August 1, 2004 I really don't need another system cluttering up my already over stuffed shelf. Still, darned tempting. Darned tempting indeed!

Cousin Vinnie #5 Posted August 1, 2004 New or used? What about the games? Hey Trip, it's all used, but still, that's a damn good bargain. My Dreamcast makes ALOT of noise. I mean ALOT. Is this normal? Or is there a reason they were giving these away? CV
JB #6 Posted August 1, 2004 My Dreamcast makes ALOT of noise. I mean ALOT. Is this normal? Yes. I thought mine was broken when I turned it on. Talked ot some people, found out they all do it, got on with life.

keilbaca #9 Posted August 1, 2004 Crazy Taxi, Marvel vs Cacpom 1 and 2, Street fighter 3, Skies of Arcadia, Giga Wings 2, Guilty Gear X, Power Stone 2, Ikaruga, Tokyo Xtreme Racer 1 and 2, Quake 3, Unreal tournament, Shenmue, Sonic Adventures 1 and 2... that should be good for now
Jasoco #10 Posted August 1, 2004 If my store's doing this, I may go for it. I never see any useful games. But hey, the least you can always eBay the extra DC and get at LEAST your money back you spent on the games.
Smada Bez #11 Posted August 1, 2004 I went to two ebgames today and neither of them had this deal. They did have a buy 3 N64 games get a free N64, but I already have a N64.

You need to buy a GMR with Grand Theft Auto: SA on the cover and look at the second page. They have to support it! It's in the freakin' mag. Mr.FoodMonster #13 Posted August 2, 2004 They probably just didn't have any DC's. My local one dosn't and if they did I would get one. They have MOUNDS of PS1's, but that dosn't help me out here. Good to know that I sould be getting the latest GMR in my mailbox soon though.

It's in the freakin' mag. Cousin Vinnie You're 100% correct, CV! My son read about it in Gamer (he's a subscriber, I'm not) and went to EB and could either buy a used DC for $15 or get one for free if he bought 3 games priced at $4.99 or higher. RavenonesGF #17 Posted August 4, 2004 My local eb said that promo ended on July 31, does anyone know if that is true or what?
Adonick #18 Posted August 4, 2004 I'd be very grateful if someone could score a DC with Shenmue or M vs Capcom.
DriftChamp #19 Posted August 5, 2004 My local eb said that promo ended on July 31, does anyone know if that is true or what? They still have this deal going on, but I think you have to have the coupon in the current GMR magazine now. Otherwise, the promo this month is $9.99 for a preowned Dreamcast system.
