Godzilla #1 Posted August 2, 2004 What do you think? Has there been a superman game better than the first superman game? I have yet to play any console superman game that is as good as the original 2600 version. And none of the modern superman games come with a wallet, either. Who better to protect your money than superman?
Mr.FoodMonster #2 Posted August 2, 2004 What about the N64 game? That was the BEST EVAR! /probably one of the 5 worst games EVER
The Historian #3 Posted August 2, 2004 Come on! You know you loved the Green Kyrptonite fog in the N64 game... That feature alone made it the coolest Superman game ever
Nukey Shay #4 Posted August 2, 2004 lol It's fog, it's paint, it's mechanized monstrosities...etc. That little meteorite sure gets around.
Stingray #5 Posted August 2, 2004 The 2600 Superman game is the only Superman game I've ever played. Are there any others that are worth getting? -S
Avid Fan #6 Posted August 2, 2004 Superman for NES is fun on an emulator, but for the console it takes way too long
Classic Pac #7 Posted August 2, 2004 There has been a lot of remakes of the Superman series on a WHOLE LOT of consoles. I played most of them, lets just say all of them aren't as good "Gameplay wise" as the one made for the 2600
figgler #8 Posted August 3, 2004 Not on consoles, but the Superman arcade game was frickin awesome, better even than the 2600.
+Cafeman #9 Posted August 3, 2004 There is a Superman VS Apocalypse type game on Cube/PS2/Xbox, and another SUperman game on Xbox. I haven't played them but reviews are ho-hum. Why can't anybody get Superman right? I would bet the 2600 version, given the time and system it was released on, probably is the best, at least the most memorable. I played a Superman 16-bit game on Genesis; I think Sunsoft might have published it. It was bad. Superman 64 is bad, it just isn't the character of Superman. figgler #10 Posted August 3, 2004 I played a Superman 16-bit game on Genesis; I think Sunsoft might have published it. It was bad. On Genesis maybe, but if you're talking about the Death and Return of Supes, they made it for SNES too and it was pretty good. Nice packaging with Doomsday punching throught the S symbol too. Stingray #11 Posted August 3, 2004 Not on consoles, but the Superman arcade game was frickin awesome, better even than the 2600. Now that you mention this one I do remember playing it a few times in MAME. I thought it was mediocre at best. -S
