Godzilla #1 Posted August 2, 2004 I get an error on www.digitpress.com Anyone else know whats up?
SteveW #2 Posted August 2, 2004 How many times a month does their site go down? Do their servers have electrical fuses taken from blinking Christmas tree lights or something? It seems like they're always having problems.
Mayhem #3 Posted August 2, 2004 Server switch over to a much quicker one. Was announced on the boards it started at 8pm EST last night. Came back for me at 8am EST this morning, but may take longer to propogate through the DNS (as the IP addresses changed as well).
Brad2600 #4 Posted August 2, 2004 I got the same error. Thanks for the information.
Godzilla #5 Posted August 2, 2004 Cool. Thanks for the info :-) can you post the new ip here in the mean time :-)
Zeus #6 Posted August 2, 2004 I'm glad they switched servers. It seems like half the time that site runs as slowly as molasses on a cold January day. I am registered in their forums but only use it to reference the rarity/value of non Atari videogames.
Jasoco #7 Posted August 2, 2004 Yes it is down, but this is the first time I have EVER seen it down. And I'm there every day.

+RangerG #9 Posted August 2, 2004 I'm not a real active DP member, but it does seem to have a much higer number of slowdowns and server problems than average (and it has been down several times that I know of). I'm glad to see it back again!
Jasoco #10 Posted August 2, 2004 Supposedly they've moved to a much faster server. And I can see the difference in the last few minutes. It's a bit faster. Yay!
Godzilla #11 Posted August 3, 2004 yay its back :-) Thanks for keeping me informed. Guess my isp just took a little longer than others.

ubersaurus #14 Posted August 3, 2004 And it's down again. If you're direct linking to the forum, the URL is different.
Zeus #15 Posted August 3, 2004 Although I can access the main area of the site, I cannot access the online rarity guide. Is it going to be up any time soon?
Keir #16 Posted August 3, 2004 And it's down again. If you're direct linking to the forum, the URL is different. It's not http://www.digitpress.com/forum/
video game addict #17 Posted August 3, 2004 Keir, Trying accessing with a different browser I get an error message with mozilla, phpBB : Critical Error Could not connect to the database But it's working fine with IE
Keir #18 Posted August 3, 2004 That's the error I get, and I'm using IE. I'm at "work" now so I'll have to see if I can get in when I get home.
Curt Vendel #19 Posted August 3, 2004 How many times a month does their site go down? Do their servers have electrical fuses taken from blinking Christmas tree lights or something? It seems like they're always having problems. Joe's gotta tell Larry not to run his Microwave on the same circuit as his cable modem and his linux server box in his house Curt
ubersaurus #20 Posted August 3, 2004 And it's down again. If you're direct linking to the forum, the URL is different. It's not http://www.digitpress.com/forum/ Guess they fixed it. Earlier you needed /index added. Still, I like the speed upgrade.
