FND #1 Posted August 4, 2004 The price is a little high but I have never seen one of these before, thought it was interesting http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...8122706551&rd=1 FND
Susuwatari #2 Posted August 4, 2004 That looks like a cross between Jr and a Gemini. Strange one. I would love to figure out how that pause buttom worked so I could see if it can be hacked into other 2600 console. PS look on the game cart. Microsoft seems to have made it but it's missing Window logo.
EricDeLee #3 Posted August 4, 2004 Wow... I like that thing! I have never seen one. Can someone provide a history lesson for us that aren't in the know....
SS #4 Posted August 4, 2004 I would love to figure out how that pause buttom worked I was thinking the same thing. I would have assumed that it was simply the B/W switch but one of those seems to be on the console as well.
Rocko #5 Posted August 4, 2004 is the system by microsoft?! Thats what the cart says. What Eric said, history lesson!
SS #6 Posted August 4, 2004 is the system by microsoft?! Thats what the cart says. I don't think that you're quite understanding Brazilian pirates!
Mindfield #7 Posted August 4, 2004 Heh... I have an Onyx Jr./Microsoft cart on the way. I bought it mainly for the amusement value of having a Brazilian pirate "Microsoft" cart. :-) It does look like a cool system tho. A bit on the pricey side, but cool all the same. keilbaca #8 Posted August 4, 2004 Hmm that seems like a project... converting the b/w switch to a pause switch. It would seem to have a better purpose for this
Mindfield #9 Posted August 4, 2004 I just wanted To add that This seller Is Fast In shipping out I got a few Games from him and it took 3days to get to me
keilbaca #10 Posted August 4, 2004 As soon as you get it, open it up and figure out how the pause works. if its simple enough, i can just run a spare switch to the outside of my atari, easily accessable for those occasions that you need to pause the game. Spirantho #11 Posted August 4, 2004 A little bit of related history.... Microdigital didn't just make clones, they enhanced them. I don't have any of their Atari clones, but I have a few ZX81 (Timex TS1000 to you American types) clones which have stuff like sound, joystick ports, Spectrum-style keyboards, and load/save off tape at about 5 times normal speed. It doesn't surprise me at all that they've hacked a pause button in... but it's unlikely to be a simple switch job. They're really quite a cool company.... Incidentally, what would happen if you connected the switch to the clock input on the 6507 (i.e. switch the switch and the clock signal doesn't reach the chip. A simple transistor would do the trick)? Obviously the display would stop, and when re-enabled it would be corrupted next frame, but the frame after that the TV would have SYNC'ed back in with the console so you wouldn't notice. Comments?
