+Mitch #2 Posted October 10, 2001 quoteDoes someone know where I'd be able to find the indy 500 special steering controllers schematics ? Straight from the Atari Service Manual, the 2600 Driving Controller Schematic. Have fun. Mitch http://atari7800.atari.org
jsoper #3 Posted October 10, 2001 It's the rotational switch, the main part of the Indy controller. Didn't see it in the Best Catalog but might have missed it. Found some in a electronics surplus once (it's nice to live in Sunnyvale, Atari's old headquarters) but they looked kind of bent up. John
+Mitch #4 Posted October 11, 2001 Like John said, it is the spinner thing inside the driving controller. I also checked the Best catalog and couldn't find it. Sorry I couldn't help more. Mitch http://atari7800.atari.org

Scott Stilphen #6 Posted October 11, 2001 I wrote an article on how to make one, using a rotary switch from Radio Shack, which may get printed in a future issue of 2600 C (*hint* )

Mot #8 Posted October 11, 2001 Is the spinner thing inside the paddle controllers so much different? Can these be used to make one?

Actually, was that an article that Tim never published? If so, I haven't been able to find that one in the files yet...
