FireTiger #1 Posted August 8, 2004 I was rembering a game called "* kros " (Return of, Kingdom of, ect.ect...) Which a googled and found. I even found the downloads for it as I will not pay for a 5.25 inch floppy drive to run my disk which are around nearby. THe problem is that it runs WAY too fast. any suggestions on how to make it play in 'normal' time?

zombiecraig #3 Posted August 8, 2004 I still have Kingdom of Kroz and maybe one other one around here somewhere. Maybe you could use a program like MOSLO to slow them down. I honestly don't think I've tried Moslo on XP.
Saikyo #4 Posted August 8, 2004 Get Turbo it slows down and speeds up many different games that run under DOS and Windows OS. Cant find the site though but its called Turbo.

Rocko #8 Posted August 11, 2004 DOSBox supports it! Dont you need an Xbox keyboard/mouse? I want to do that, but cant... My old teacher had (probably still has) all the Kroz games, but he didnt have the drives for them. Didnt matter, he had Crosscountry USA, Odell Down Under (both titles Edutainment at its best) and The Incredible machine. He offered me them once, but I said no. Anyway, they looked pretty good, (They were all boxed, I could read all about em, wanted to play em, but got sucked into the games aboce. Tryem if you have the means)
FireTiger #9 Posted August 12, 2004 what do you mean didn't have the drives?
Rocko #10 Posted August 12, 2004 what do you mean didn't have the drives? He had 3.5'' floppy drives (so did I, thats why I said "no") and the games were on the 5.25" floppy (which neither of us had)
vb_master #11 Posted August 12, 2004 DOSBox is for Windows not Xbox! I run Commander Keen (I have them all, registered), Elf 1 & 2 (registered), and Hocus Pocus (registered!) on it flawlessly. Now I'm going to have to play a game of Good Bye Galaxy!

DOSBox is a DOS emulator, so every time, you need to mount the C drive. mount C then you need to CD over to the dirctory with the DOS game you want to play. and then do keen(whatevernumber) and play. I suggest reading the ReadMe before you use it, it's very confusing at first.
