Cybergoth #1 Posted August 12, 2004 Hi there! Like watching a good movie more than once (I watch Blade Runner at least once every year), do you play games "again" you've already beaten a few years ago? I normally don't! But, as an exception to this rule, I now though about playing "Tachyon" again. It's one of my alltime favourites and certainly worth another go. Also it's been 2-3 years since I beat it, so I've probably forgotten most of the story already. Also I've a thrice as powerfull computer now, so playing it this time should be a blast! Greetings, Manuel
Raijin Z #2 Posted August 12, 2004 The longer the game, the longer it'll take me to play it again after I beat it. The minimum time is around a year.
mynameistom22000 #3 Posted August 12, 2004 With some games I do...I went back to Goldeneye earlier this year and played through it on all the difficulties and now I'm starting up TimeSplitters 2 again and playing through it again. But, I suppose you're right...I have to wait awhile before playing through some games again. Like, I loved Zelda: OoT and played through it a couple times in the first year or so I had it...but now I still can not get into it. I might have to wait longer so I forget just enough to add fresh elements to the game. This also happens with me on sequels. Right before SSX3 was released I was really into SSX Tricky and was playing through it and playing at least 3 hours a day. Got 3, played for a minute, haven't touched it since...I overkilled myself on SSX...but I will go back and play it of course
Avid Fan #4 Posted August 12, 2004 I always be sure to beat SMB at least once a year. I beat Zelda every 5 or so. Since I've gotten my gamecube, I've actually beaten just about all of my games, but I go back and play them on a higher difficulty. I cant wait to beat OOT, so I can play it again, but not seem so stupid (me, not the game)
cryptik76 #5 Posted August 13, 2004 I would, but I have too many games I haven't even beat the first time. There are a handful of games I've replayed (not counting old NES games), but my backlog of games to finish is so long that I'm never going to catch up. StanJr #6 Posted August 13, 2004 replay value is what makes a game truly great. If I can leave a game alone for a while and then come back at it again, and have just as much fun, then the game designers have done something right. Atari games are wonderful in the this capacity, but Modern Games less so. I do play a few games over and over, however. Some of my favs include: Castlevania: Symphony of Night, Any Zelda game, Mario 64, Guantlet Legends, Spider-man, Rogue Squadron. Good, good games. IceCold #7 Posted August 13, 2004 I've probably beaten Earthbound for SNES around 15-20 times. But, I usually only play through a game once or twice, unless it's an extremely awesome game(like Earthbound)
Blackjack #8 Posted August 13, 2004 Tachyon was great! I wish I hadn't sold my copy. Bruce Campbell was perfect for the hero too. Quick question: It's been so long I can't remember...... was there a multiplayer against bots with that game or just online against other people? What difficulty level of TS2 do you play through? Easy is pretty easy, Medium is pretty challenging, and I really haven't made much headway in Difficult... I come back to Bangai-O on dreamcast. As well as Mega Man series w/ its rerelease...
liveinabin #11 Posted August 13, 2004 The only games that seem to have any replay value for me are Ridge Racer 4, Burnout 2 and Crazy Taxi. All feature cars yet I'd have to say driving games are, generally, my least favourite genre. Wierd. I also like to run through Panzer Dragoon Saga every now and then, it's just nice to visit those worlds. I'm sure Beyond Good and Evil will get similar treatment. I play through it on medium, go back through on easy, then move on to the Diffivult setting..which I have not gotten too far in either...but I mainly keep playing through the levels over and over on medium

Needles Kane #14 Posted August 13, 2004 I beat Shenmue for DC a few years back and just picked it up again. I forgot how fun it was! Also every couple of months I break out Twisted Metal 4 for kicks.
