Top 5 Best Capcom games!

Recommended Posts

If think it's high time for another top 5 list 'round here.

Capcom's been around long enough to produce a vast and solid library of titles.

Pick your favourite 5..

5 Duck Tales

4 Gargoyle's Quest 2

3 Super Street Fighter 2

2 MegaMan 2

1 Zelda Oracle of Seasons (co-developed)

I'm more impressed with Capcom's coin-op library with a few exceptions.

My favorites:

1. Street Fighter II (arcade)

2. Final Fight (arcade)

3. Bionic Commando (NES)

4. Ghouls N Ghosts (arcade)

5. Commando (arcade)

I know you only asked for 5, but I have too many favorites...

6. Ghosts N Goblins (arcade)

7. Tiger Road (arcade---so tough, but so rewarding!)

8. 1941 (arcade)

9. Strider (Genesis)

10. Vulgus (arcade)

1) Megaman 2

It's Megaman! In my opinion, this one has the best levels, characters, and music.

2) U.N. Squadron

I loved it in the arcade and I loved it on my SNES!

3) X-Men Vs Street Fighter

Before she died, this was my ex-girlfriend's favorite arcade game. I have many good memories of her kicking my arse and even better memories of me occasionally winning a round. ;-)

4) Legend of Zelda - The Minish Cap

One of the few gems for the Gameboy Advance. I don't even mind Link's, "Hiyaa!"

5) Commando

It's just a groovy game! The VCS version is my favorite; I realize that version is by Activision so I'm listing the arcade version here.

5. Street Fighter II - I can't argue with a classic. Personally I never really got into it, but it deserves to be in any Capcom Top 5 list, if only because of the impact it had on the gaming industry.

4. 1941 - Nice vertical scroller, though I think Raiden and its sequels are much better.

3. Commando - Good fast-paced shoot-'em-up with great music.

2. Ghosts 'n' Goblins - Excellent platformer, again with great music, especially on the C-64.

1. DarkStalkers - Easily my favorite fighting game. The game is nicely paced, the characters are fun to play and fun to watch, and the boss is just hard enough that you feel you've accomplished something when you beat him, without having spent a fortune doing so. And, yes, Felicia's cute.

[*]Knights of the Round

[*]Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo

[*]Dungeons & Dragons: Tower of Doom/Shadow Over Mystara

I don't think Minish Cap should be in a Capcom's top list. They did co-develop it but Zelda is Nintendo's. It steals the spotlight from their true intellectual properties, but that's just my opinion.

Street Fighter II

Megaman

Resident Evil

Ghost n Globlins

Final Fight

It should be top five best CAPCOM series of all time. Just between all of the Mega Man and Resident Evil games I couldn't choose. Plus there are many many more awesome series that were made. Except for the Street Fighter series which I can't stand.
